Fun, relaxed, simple and all about the baby. First Birthday portraits with a cake smash.

If your baby is turning one soon and you are thinking about his/ her photo session – you came to the right place :). I looooove doing first birthday portraits, especially since I simplified everything. My birthday sessions can be fully customized to your liking but to be honest I believe in the motto “less is more”. Less clutter and less noise around the baby will help us focus on your precious little human.

I really try to keep everything simple, including your baby outfit. I have a collection of a few white, organic pieces which you are welcome to use. We will also discuss the outfit before the session. I am sure you don’t even have to purchase anything and can find a simple and sweet outfit in the baby’s closet already.

I always start with just portraits keeping the cake smash part for a bit later. Once your baby is comfortable and starts to trust me, we will let him/ her play and have fun. I love capturing real smiles and giggles. No pressure if your little one is dead serious either. Mom and dad can always jump in the picture and give some snuggles if needed.

After that comes the cake. The moment we were all waiting for :). At this point babies are usually in a great mood and ready for more fun. Some of them will dive in the cake face down, some will touch it with just one finger :). And some with a wooden spoon (which I keep handy for babies who don’t like their hands messy).

The end of the session is the most fun for most of the little ones… a bubble bath! While they splash around I continue to take pictures. Bam! All done! No fuss, sweet, fun and simple! If you are ready to book simply send me a message.
